LazyTown Live Launch

As well as having our panto launch here yesterday one of us also attended a reception at the Icelandic Ambassador's residence in Park Lane to celebrate the launch of LazyTown Live. For those of you that don't have small children (they that hog the telly and even go as far as sneakily hiding the remote control so you can't change the channel while they go down to the park), LazyTown is the fastest selling kid's TV show ever and is currently on TV in 48 countries around the world. The creator of the show is Icelander Magnus Scheving who also plays the show's main character, Sporticus, on TV.

The show is now being transferred to the stage and is already selling extremely well in Croydon (..and we don't have it until July next year!). Magnus was at the launch and gave us a very animated speech, as one would expect of Sporticus, about his healthy living message for children. It promises to be a great event. The Icelandic Ambassador was there too, although he didn't have anyone handing out the Ferrero Rochers.

Panto Launched!!

Our panto this year, Dick Whiitington, was officially launched to the
assembled ranks of the press today. As Croydon basked in some late summer
sun we took advantage of the weather by having the photo-shoot take place in
the Queen's Gardens opposite Fairfield. Pictured is Lucy Benjamin and our
Dame, Malcolm Lord having their pictures taken. Watch the press for the
pics. The lady in the immediate foreground didn't know where the camera was.
Someone should have told her "It's behind you".

I'm sure Freddy also used to say 'Relax', or was that Frankie?
