Here It Is, Merry Christmas

Christmas starts early for Fairfield. We've already started marketing our
panto (Dick Whittington starring Lucy Benjamin, it's going to be a popular
one so book early folks!) and now it's the turn of our Christmas Parties.
These are big December 'joining' parties in our Arnhem Gallery and down at
the Fairfield Hotel that companies or organisations can buy tables at.
They're very successful and get booked early, hence we have to produce all
the promotional brochures now. This is the photo-shoot for the cover. We'll
put the finished cover on here in a few days time so you can see how it
turned out. If your looking for a venue for your company Christmas Party
then come back here and see the cover, and you'll also be able to download
the brochure. We've let the cat out of the bag as to how we produce the
cover-shot, but as to where we got real snow in July?...We'll leave you to
figure that one out.

Spot The Mistake

Er, we don't get it right all the time. It was changed in a matter of
hours...and thankfully long before anybody made a fuss about it, or put it
in a newspaper, or on a website....oops.

Tuning The Old Joanna

This is one of several concert pianos that Fairfield has. Before any
performance the required piano is brought up to the concert hall to be tuned
in situ. Which is what you see going on here, prior to today's lunchtime
concert series by one of Britain's finest pianists Ronan O'Hara. Storing,
maintaining and tuning such expensive instruments is just one of the many
'unseen' elements that make up the complex process of staging classical
music concerts.
