BBC Concert Orchestra...Friday Night is Music Night
Friday Night has, in fact, been Music Night for half a century - first
of all on the Light Programme and then on BBC Radio 2 - making it the world's longest-running 'live music' programme
on radio. For the first time in 14 years Friday Night is Music Night comes to Fairfield, giving you the oppurtunity
to be a member of the live audience at a recording of the show. There will be a guarentee of music for everybody, with the
BBC Radio 2 presenter and special guest artists to be announced. Plus some music only to be heard by the audience at the live
show.

Fairfield favourite Sir James Galway has been working with the LMP for many years. The orchestra are
delighted to wish him a very happy 70th birthday with this special Gala Concert. Joined by Lady Galway and some surprise guests
he will play a selection of his favourite pieces fo flute after the interval.
